What ServiceBook is

ServiceBook is a tool for keeping notes: mileage readings, service records and personal reminders for your vehicles, plus a portal garages can use to manage reminders for their customers. By using the app you agree to these terms.

ServiceBook does not maintain your car

Reminders in the app are only as good as the information entered. They are not official manufacturer service intervals and not a replacement for your vehicle's service book, owner's manual or a qualified mechanic. You remain responsible for servicing and maintaining your vehicle on time.

Mileage readings must be entered by you; the app does not read your odometer. Notifications may arrive slightly late or be delayed by your phone's battery settings, so also check the app from time to time.

Your data is your responsibility

Without an account, service records are stored on your device; back up regularly using the export option in Settings — we cannot restore data that was never backed up. With an account, records are stored in your account and synced across your devices, but we still recommend keeping your own backups.

Accounts

An account is only required for the sharing features. Keep your password safe and use an account that belongs to you. We may suspend accounts used for abuse, spam or unlawful purposes.

Rules for mechanics

If you use the garage portal you confirm that: the customer details you enter are accurate; you hold them as the garage's own records; you will only send SMS or WhatsApp reminders to customers who have given consent, and you will stop when they withdraw it; and you will handle customer data in line with privacy laws that apply to you.

Availability and changes

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change or discontinue features; if a change is significant we will try to tell you in the app. These terms may be updated — the current version is always shown here.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ServiceBook's developer is not liable for missed services, vehicle damage, losses or costs arising from use of the app or from reminders that fail to arrive. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
